In a remarkable show of passion and community, hundreds of scooter enthusiasts converged on Tasikmalaya for the grand finale of the 2024 Scooter Prix Road Tour, marking a spectacular end to the Scoot & Toast series that had earlier illuminated cities like Bogor, Cianjur, and Bandung. This vibrant gathering was a testament to the growing popularity of scooter events in Indonesia.
The Road to Tasikmalaya: A Journey of Community Gathering and Competition
Tasikmalaya City, known for its rich history of producing talented scooter racers, was the chosen venue for the final event of Scoot & Toast 2024. Local communities, including Smallframe Tasikmalaya, Zona Vespa Racing, and Modern Vespa Tasikmalaya, joined forces to host this much-anticipated gathering.
The event kicked off with a spectacular group ride featuring participants from Tasikmalaya Regency, Ciamis, Garut, and even Bandung City. The convoy assembled at the Tasikmalaya Heroes Cemetery, embarking on a route that culminated at Café Fullhopper. This route highlighted the region’s scenic beauty and the scooter community’s unity and spirit.
Spotlight on Local Talent and Community Building
Tasikmalaya was chosen as the final stop to spotlight its reputation as a hub for skilled scooter racers. Husna Dotcom and Agni Herton from the Zona Vespa Racing team graced the event, adding prestige and excitement. The presence of these figures underscored the event’s significance in promoting scooter racing as a respected sport across the region.
Sani, the leader of the Smallframe Tasikmalaya community, shared his thoughts on the event: “The Scoot & Toast event in Tasikmalaya has been an incredible experience. It allowed us to interact, share experiences, and foster stronger bonds between communities. This is not just about racing; it’s about building a network of enthusiasts who support and uplift each other.”
A Prelude to the Scooter Prix 2024 Final Rounds
The Scoot & Toast event served as an ideal precursor to the Scooter Prix 2024 Final Rounds, scheduled for December 7-8, 2024, at the Sentul International Karting Circuit in West Java. This finale is expected to draw even greater participation and showcase the best of scooter racing in Indonesia.
An Invitation to Scooter Enthusiasts Nationwide
Beyond celebrating the spirit of brotherhood among scooter enthusiasts, Scoot & Toast also extends an open invitation to all scooter lovers to participate in future Scooter Prix event.
